British Cycling has announced the British lineup for next weekend's UEC Cyclocross European Championships.

U23 World Champion Tom Pidcock has stepped up his game this season, choosing to share the calendar with the pros, and the November 10 race will be his first major competition at the elite level.

Pidcock's Trinity Racing teammate, Cameron Mason, is one of four competitors in the U23 men's race. In addition to Mason, junior world champion Ben Tallet will step up this season.

Thomas Main and Ben Turner complete the U23 men's lineup. Hattie Harden, Anna Kay, and Katie Scott make up the U23 girls team, while Millie Cousins, Anna Flynn, and Josie Nelson will compete in the junior girls race.

Corran Carrick-Anderson, Rory McGuire, Ollie Stockwell, and Simon Willey will make up the 15-man team and compete in the junior men's race. [Great Britain Cycling Team Cyclocross Coordinator Matt Ellis said in a statement released by British Cycling, "The team we are taking to this year's European Championships is very competitive and we expect to see them challenging for the podium in their respective races.

"This race is especially significant for the junior girls, as this is their first year with a separate category. On the junior men's side, all four have performed well in national races this season.

"Anna Kaye enters the European Championships on a strong note after finishing third in the elite women's race in Bern in the World Cup series. Likewise, Ben Turner and Thomas Mein have also continued to race well this season.

Pidcock is undoubtedly a star rider and can head to Silber in Italy with hopes of winning a medal. Over the weekend, he said that while winning is his goal, the 2019-20 season is all about getting used to racing at the elite level, adding: "My goal is to be on the podium, and I'll be happy to do that."

"It's great that Tom has stepped up to the elite men's category," Ellis said. Thanks to his success on the road, including a bronze medal at the World Championships, he is physically very strong this season and technically improving with each race."

"Tom is a very strong rider, and he has been very successful on the road.

"He has already shown that he is a medal contender at this level.
