The road season may be over, but stars like World champion Mathieu van der Poel, Vuelta a España winner Sep Kus and season No. 1 rider Tadezi Poganyal are still waiting to see if the Singapore and Madrid Criterium will take the riders. I haven't put my bike aside yet because it's on display.

In Madrid, Van der Poel will open the Rainbow Jersey to the public at Plaza del Callao from 10:30 to 11:30 and perform 25 parade laps along Gran Via.

Spanish favorites taking the Criterium are Juan Ayuso, Marc Sorrell, Carlos Verona, Omar Freire and Luis Leon Sanchez 1p.m.

For the Tour de France organiser's Singapore Criterion, there is an elaborate stage that is set on the other side of the world.

Vuelta a Espana winner Sepp Kus (Jumbo Visma) will not be joined by Double Tour winner and teammate Jonas Vingegaard.

Tour Green Jersey winner Jasper Phillipsen (Alpecin・Detunink), Tour champion Tadeji Poganyal (UAE Team Emirates), 2019 champion Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers), 4th・time winner Chris Froome (UAE Team Emirates) The 34th stage winner Mark Cavendish (Astana・Kazakhstan) and retired former Triple World champion Peter Sagan are among the riders to appear in Singapore.

The festival begins on Saturday with children's rides and team presentations before a live party at sunset. Sunday's events include a group ride for the public, a criteria for amateurs, a bike parade and a team time trial that precedes the main event, the Professional Criteria.

Also in the mix, Victor Lafayette (Cofidis), Perro-There are stage winners like Bilbao (Bahrain win) and Carlos Rodriguez (Ineos), and the mountain classification winner Giulio Chiccone (Lidl-Trek).
