EF Education-EasyPost announced on Thursday that it has renewed its contract with 27-year-old Neilson Powless throughout the 2027 season.

The Americans have steadily risen through the ranks of the Pink-clad team since winning a ground-breaking victory in the Donostia San Sebastian Classcore in 2021, becoming one of the 1 most successful riders. This season, Paules won the GP La Marseillaise and Etoile de Bethège, and took to the podium in the Dewar d'a Vlaanderen and the Maryland Classic, making 2023 the best year of his career.

"It feels pretty great," Paules said in a statement released by the team. "I joined the team in 2020 and grew very much here and developed a lot as a rider and a person. Every year I get better with this team and its support and structure.

"It was pretty clear that this place felt like the best place for me to continue to succeed and grow. I just feel so at home here and really happy with my career direction and the people I have around me to support it."

Other results suggest the prospect of Paurese in a big race this season, 5th on the tour of Flanders, 7th in Milan-San Remo and 8th in Liege-Bastogne-Liege, fuelling his desire to add a monument to Palmares and 5th in road races at the world Championships. It is a promising indicator ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"This year has been a really big eye-opener for me in terms of being able to go after winning the Spring Classic," he said. "It's a really, really exciting road and an exciting adventure for me to try to go after. Those were races I didn't really think I could participate in, but that I was in a team willing to take a chance on it and try

"I want to win the Cobblestone classic. I want to win the monument and continue after the World Championships every year. This is also the year of the Olympic Games. I have a lot of ambition for the 1st race, and then, obviously, there's the Tour de France. You always want to show on tour in the best form where you can race the best man in the world when they are in peak fitness, but cobblestone classics and monuments are special races in their own right. I feel like I'm knocking on the door of one of those races, so I hope I can nail 1 next year.

The Tour de France has also brought out the best in Paules in recent years. After the cobblestone stage 5 on the 2022 tour, he climbed to No. 2 overall and entered 4 seconds behind Mayo Jaune in the punchy stage of longwy, won by tadej Pogañar, finally finishing 12th overall. This year, he spent a dozen days in a polka dot jersey.

"I feel like I'm getting stronger physically, but I also learn new ways of racing, learn about the different types of races I can compete in, and at this level

"There were a lot of races, especially in last year's classic. It absolutely breaks or breaks my race when my teammates are completely sold out for me.And having a teammate who did it willing to make that sacrifice was willing to suffer for me.It hit really deep, knowing that it was for me and not for them," Paules said.

"It gives me a lot of motivation and a lot of confidence, and it makes me really grateful to those around me, those who are willing to experience that pain for me, know that they themselves are not going to get results, but they do it to put me in a position to do well." I know that I have experienced all of my pain, and it really makes me want to go even deeper."
