Paris-Roubaix organizers decide on wild cards for 2024

Paris-Roubaix organizers have announced the men's teams invited to the 121st edition of the race and the women's teams invited to the 4th edition.

Both races are part of the World Tour and all World Tour teams are required to compete, meaning that all 18 men's teams and 15 women's teams will compete in April's "Hell in the North."

The top three men's pro teams, Lotto Dostny, Uno X Mobility, and Israel Premier Tech, and the top women's continental team, Cofidis, received an automatic invitation under UCI rules.

Four wildcard slots remained for the men, with organizers selecting Total Energy, Q36.5, Team Flanders Baloise, and Bingoal Pauwels Soutzen WB.

On the women's side, Jackson's EF Education Cannondale team was selected as part of the eight wildcard entries, along with four French continental teams: Arcare-B&B Hôtels, San Michele-Mavic-Ober 93, Comgui Grand Est, Winspace. LifePlus Wahoo from the UK, Coop-Repsol from Norway, and the Volkerwessel women's team from the Netherlands are on the start list.

Paris-Roubaix is the 16th stop on the UCI World Tour, which began in Australia with the Tour Down Under won by Israel's Premier Tech's Stephen Williams. The series continues this weekend with the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.

Paris-Roubaix Femmes is the 11th stop on the UCI Women's World Tour and is currently led by Sarah Gigante (AG Insurance Suredal), who won the Tour Down Under.

The women will also compete in the Deakin University Road Race in Geelong this weekend, the second race of this year's Women's World Tour.
